As a newbie, when putting teflon strips in for shell, is cyano glue OK. I just want to make sure I can get the strip out to put the shell in Andy |

Yep, you should have no problem. I always glue my rosettes in with CA. If I am doing shell and wood then the teflon gets soaked in CA. It should come out no problem. At least it always has for me. josh |

In fact I have a rosette fixture made of Teflon that I pre-glue my major band of rosettes in before installing. I put all the pieces together in it glue up with CA then remove and install the major ring as one piece. I am planning to make one for divided or sectioned rosettes that uses replaceable divider strips to separate and locate the pie sections of a divided rosette, then remove the divider one at atine to add the purfling that will become the dividers of the pie sections. Still in the works, but my point is that you will find many usages for Teflon with CA. |
